Rights body asks Prachanda to raise Bhutanese issue
The right group, actively working for human rights advocacy in exile, has accused that the right to return of more than 100 thousand Bhutanese citizens dwelling in Nepal has been sidelined by third country resettlement program.
"We are the victims of Bhutan government’s arbitrary policy of ethnic cleansing, targeting the Nepali speaking southern Bhutanese", mentioned the letter adding, " Solution of the problem on humanitarian ground like the resettlement is not fair and justifiable to the suppressed Bhutanese".
Expecting that the Nepalese PM would raise the Bhutanese issue, the HUROB has asked Nepal, the host country to find a permanent solution of the stalemate.
"We profoundly hope that you will always raise the sufferings of the Bhutanese refugees in the assembly session", said the letter. Bhutan News Service
