UNDP supports cabinet secretariat enhancement
Thimphu, September 03: Within a month it expressed it willingness to increase the political consciousness among women, the United Nations Development Program has approved a US$ 150,000 project to build institutional capacity of the Cabinet Secretariat.
The project will cover short-term study tours and courses in effective drafting, developing cabinet manuals and procedures, and designing websites to share government decisions with the people.
The UNDP said competent staffs are necessary to understand and interpret legal and policy choices since the secretariat was the main coordination office for the National Assembly resolution implementations, and for processing bills, treaties, conventions and protocols. Bhutan News Service
