Gelephu’s town plan is ready now

Thimphu, September 04: Ending the disputes of the land owners on land pooling schemes prepared by the Ministry of Works and Human Settlement, the long anticipated town plan of Gelephu has been finalized on Sunday.

The Dungkhag administration will complete the land demarcation within one of two months as per the ministry’s direction.

The revised plan states that the people will be allowed for new construction in extended town are only if they have land more than 13 decimals.

The Sarpang Dzongdag Sangey Thinley said the finalization of the plan was delayed because the people lacked consensus. Bhutan News Service
