Earlier, it circulated an appeal to majority of Bhutanese living in different countries.
“We have been trying to make our radio program reach Jhapa and Morang to disseminate first hand information to exiled Bhutanese but no sponsor has come out yet” reads the release issued today by Sarokar Unit.
The appeal has requested Bhutanese citizens living in the United States of America, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Italy to contribute for the genuine cause. “There is an increasing demand of the program from camps” the release states.
“When there are mixed opinions and confusions among Bhutanese regarding three options, radio plays an important role to bride gaps and inform the public” adds the release.
It has also expressed its gratitude to Kathmandu based Bhutanese Kazi Tamag, Prakash Ghising, Hament Lama, Ashok Gurung, Ganga Neupane, Dhruv Mishra and RB Bhattarai for contributing 1000 NRS each for the radio program.
