Adelaide, South Australia: The Bhutanese community in South Australia observed Bhanu Jayanti amidst a program here today.

Chaired by Bhutanese human rights leader Ratan Gazmere, the program was attended by over a dozen participants. The program started with reciting of Ramayan and followed by presentation of poems and other literary items.

Speaking at the program many participants expressed their joy to celebrate the event in the foreign land for the first time.

Meanwhile, three of the outstanding presentation were awarded for reciting Ramayan and other literary poems.

  1. Hats off to friends in Adelaide. This is really good exhibition in promotion of our culture and language. If we maintain this, it could be one of the precedence in line with many other events that can be seen as one of the event to bring awareness in our community for many years to come.
