Border security to be tightened (Nation)

Jaigaon, September 24: Bhutanese and the Assam’s state government concluded to intensify the security check along the international border to control the infiltration by Bhutanese underground groups.

The two governments also agreed to share information on the issue during a border talks he in Bogaigaon in Assam last week.

The security measures have been tightened in view of the threats posed by Communist Party of Bhutan (Marxist, Leninist Maoist), the Bhutan Tiger Force and other revolutionary groups. 

Joint secretary of home ministry Tshering Wangda, who led the Bhutanese delegation to the border talks said there are no single camps inside the country rebuilt by Indian militants. Bhutan News Service
