27 percent clears SLC
Damak, July 19: About 27 percent out of 2311 regular and 662 exampted students from seven exile Bhutanese camps have passed the School Leaving Certificate (SLC), Iron Gate, examination conducted in 2005.
According to sources from Caritas Nepal, 28.2, 29, 19, 22, 38, 27 and 24 percent respectively from SRA Khudunabari, Oasis Academy Timai, NHA Sanischare, GVA Beldangi-I, PES Beldangi-II, BLES Goldhap and TRSS Beldangi-II have passed the Iron Gate. Majority of those who got chance for supplementary exams have failed in Science and Mathematics.

Meanwhile, Caritas Father Verkey addressing a program at Khudunabari has expressed deep concern towards unsatifactory result of exile students.
With the rise in frustration among youth-students and other several factors, the SLC result is reportedly known to have decreased each year. Bhutan News Service
