Flood claim lives in Sikkim
Gantok, July 19: Flood in Sikkim has claimed lives of at least five exile Bhutanese including 3 members from the same family staying in Beldangi-I who were working as labour there.
Tek Bahadur Singar, 42 years including his sons Nandu Ram (19) and Bhumi Raj (17) of Beldangi-I, sector A/3- were those who died on the spot. The identification of two other Bhutanese who have died in the same incident is not yet known, however they are said to be resident of same camp.
They were staying in the room at the bank of Reli Khola when the flood occured.
Some few from Sanischare who were injured are now undergoing treatment. Bhutan News Service
