Yechuri goes U-turn in his stand
Kathmandu, May 02: Leader of CPI-M Sitaram Yechuri made U-turn in his earlier stand that his party would support the repatriation of exiled Bhutanese to their homesteads.
Yechuri while speaking to journalists in Nepalese capital Kathmandu on Friday said since the issue was between Nepal and Bhutan, India wishes not to intervene.
He denied commenting on Indian role in resolving the issue.
Till some months back, Yechuri was one the prominent leader among the communist block advocating the repatriation of the exiled Bhutanese and expressing commitment to put pressure on his government in doing so.
The communist leader had also withdrawn his plan to visit Bhutan before the parliamentary elections, the word he had given to Bhutanese leaders in exile. Bhutan News Service
