Tshering Dorji is Mr Thimphu

Thimph, June 03: Finland based Bhutanese Tshering Dorji has been declared first Mr Thimphu.

Winner of the first competition of its kind in the country, Dorji walked away with cash award of Nu. 18,000.

Dorji topped his category of above 75 kilograms and was adjudged the overall first.

The competition was held in three categories – above 75 kilograms, 75 kilograms and under 65 kilograms. First, second, and third from each category were awarded cash prizes of Nu. 15,000, Nu. 10,000 and Nu. 5,000 respectively.

24 individuals participated the contest organized by Bhutan Weight Lifting and Body Building Federation, established in May 2004. Bhutan News Service
