Resignees reject BACC request (Update)

California (USA), Jan 17: Eight Bhutanese in California who earlier quitted Bhutanese American Community Center (BACC) have expressed unwillingness to reconsider their resignation.

In a statement sent to Bhutan News Service by Rajan Giri said, "We didn't resign but abandoned BACC" adding there is no need to reconsider the decision.

He also accused BACC of fooling invitees and media in the name of election.

Giri, standing against BACC request to rejoin, said that there is no need of another organization when Association of Bhutanese in America is actively working as a national entity for Bhutanese in the US. Bhutan News Service/Vidhyapati Mishra
