New workshops mar service givers and receivers (Economy)
Thimphu, October 17: The new motor service center recently unveiled by the government in Olarangchu has become a headache for vehicle owners in Thimphu with swift increase the rate of service charge.
The workshop owners say they have been forced to charge more because the rent of the new land is very high. Rates have been increase by 30 percent in average while the rent has increased by over five folds.
The pressure is more on the workshop owners than the vehicle owners. The new site lack space that can accommodate enough vehicles posing threat to workshop owners to loose their market.
After missing two deadlines and increasing controversy between landowners and workshop owners, the service center was relocated from Changzamtog to this new cite early this month. Bhutan News Service
