Nepal's DPM vows to take up the issue of exiled Bhutanese
Kathmandu, September 09: Nepalese deputy prime minister and foreign minister K. P. Oli said his government would take decisive steps to address the stranded issue of exiled Bhutanese.
He was talking to journalists in his office in Nepalese capital of Kathmandu about the progress made by new government it hundred days' life.
Oli added Bhutan's passivity in the process was not acceptable to Nepal. He further said Nepal would be forced to take unpopular steps if the Druk regime continued to stays with its stand regarding taking back its citizens.
He however, expressed hope the impasse would get solved soon since the new government has received good support from the international community to find a permanent solution of the crisis.
He reiterated the government's pledge for their respectful repatriation. He also mentioned that government would look into options acceptable to the exiled Bhutanese to get an early outlet.
Oli also made it clear that his government has no intention of protracting the issue by sitting for another ministerial meeting with Bhutan. Bhutan News Service
