Meat sell banned for one month
Thimphu, May 06: Government has banned the production and sell of meat in the country for another one month effective from Monday.
The National Assembly during its 89th session had decided to put restriction on production and selling of meat items on special days including first, fourth and last month according to Bhutanese calendar.
The fourth month is regarded as sacred for Buddhism believing that most incidents in the life of Lord Buddha occurred during this month. Bhutan News Service
