DPT asks business leaders for donation to party

Thimphu, September 04:  As the election date for lower House comes near and political scenes go changing, the Druk Phuensum Tshogpa accelerates informal campaign to win the votes for in the Lower House.

As part of its acquaintances, the party organized discussion session with business community of Thimphu on Saturday.

The discussion was held few days later election commission said the parties in the country are not allowed to campaign for the election. Once the hardcore antagonist of the democratic process, the party president Jigme Thinley explained business leaders the importance of people’s participation in the democratic processes and briefed party’s policies.
 
And finally, Thinley asked the business leader to make voluntary financial contribution to his party saying the party has fund shortage. Bhutan News Service
