Come relax, the Coronation Park is open (City)

Thimphu, September 26: In presence of two ministers and senior government officials, Royal Highness Ashi Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck scissors red ribbon here to inaugurate the Coronation Park.

The function that took place Thursday was attended by Works and Human Settlement Minister Yeshey Zimba, the Finance Minister Wangdi Norbu, both regarded as most loyal to royal families, and senior government officials.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Zimba said the open place would be beneficial to people during leisure, for relax, for rest and fresh air.

Lying between the Chamlimithang ground and the Wang Chu, the park covers an area of 5.6 acres of land and has over sixty species of plant found in the kingdom.

Equipped with a basketball court, a mini football ground, sea-saws, swings and slides, the place is expected to attract children and students to learn about flora. Bhutan News Service
