Bhutan Times launches its Dzongkha version

Thimphu, May 17: Bhutan Times weekly began publishing its trial Dzongkha edition this week. The trial version has four pages to be inserted into the English edition for free distribution.

The paper owners said, "The idea behind the move was to enable the Dzongkha edition to gradually evolve and build its own identity until it is able to stand on its own."

The Dzongkha edition will also be called Bhutan Times.

Bhutan Observer had begun its Dzongkha from the beginning but has been facing hard time to sustain due to lack of advertisements and readership. Bhutan News Service
