TBR, published by Bhutan Media Society (BMS) under Association of Press Freedom Activists Bhutan, started its hardcopy prints from October 2004.

 Issuing a press statement on the eve of its fifth anniversary, the BMS has extended words of gratitude to all those who supported its publications.
 
The release further stated that TBR will soon have its own website. "The editorial team of TBR is committed towards giving continuity to the hardcopy publication of the paper", stated the release.
 
TBR is the only English-language newspaper published by BMS and circulated among exiled Bhutanese and their well-wishers in Nepal and India. Bhutan News Service
