Bhutan-India treaty text exchanged
Thimphu, March 04: Bhutan and Indian officials exchanged the Instruments of Ratification of the India-Bhutan Friendship Treaty amidst a function organized here on March 3.
Foreign Minister Lyonpo Khandu Wangchuk and the Indian envoy to Bhutan Sudhir Vyas signed and exchanged the document. The treaty comes into force after the exchange of the document.
The Treaty was signed on February 8 in New Delhi during the royal visit.
Talking to the media after the function, the Indian envoy highlighted the close friendship between the two countries since centuries made stronger by the treaty. Bhutan News Service
