Bhutan could face challenge to meet MGDs (Nation)
Thimphu, October 23: Prime Minister Jigmi Thinley told the world leaders during the recent UN general assembly session in New York that Bhutan would meet the goals set out in the MDG but WHO has raised questions if it could do in health.
WHO representative in a consultation meeting in India recently said the skilled birth attendance is a major challenge to meet the goals. Currently the skilled birth attendance in Bhutan is 56 percent which is not enough to meet the MGD 4 and 5 on health of mother and children. Bhutan News Service
