Tobgey to answer MPs Thursday

Thimphu, May 28: The final discussion on draft constitution will complete at parliament on Thursday when the chairman of the constitution drafting committee chief justice Sonam Tobgey will make his final presentation.

He will answer the questions raised by parliamentarians during the discussion sessions. After answering the parliament, he will present the amended version of the constitution for endorsement.

The constitution will be formally endorsed on June 2 after which the parliament session will rest for some time.

After Thursday’s session, the parliamentarians will divide into committee to discuss on various bills.

This session, parliament will endorse National Assembly bill, National Council bill, Election bill, National Referendum bill, Public Election Fund bill, and the Parliamentary Entitlement bill. Bhutan News Service
