The 10th plan outlay to increase
Thimphu, May 28: The ruling Druk Phuensum Pshokpa leaders have expressed interests to increase the total outlay of the 10th five year plan by some seven billion.
The National Assembly session, possibly to resume on June 16 will start discussion on the plan after finance minister presents the proposal.
The Gross National Happiness (GNH) Commission has proposed Nu 15 billion for the plan period. However, the budget will increase according to reports made by party leaders who access the development situation in rural areas during polls campaign.
The party is also forced to increase the outlay to meet the promises party leaders made ahead of the polls. Bhutan News Service
