HRH to leave for Tonga

Thimphu, July 29: Her Royal Highness Ashi Sonam Dechan Wangchuck is scheduled to attend king's coronation ceremony in Tonga.

As a representation of king, HRH Dechen is scheduled to leave country on July 30 and return on August 3. The coronation day of Tonga king falls on August 1.   

Meanwhile, a press statement issued by the Foreign Ministry says HRH’s visit would help strengthen friendship of two kingdoms.

Tonga king, George Tupou V, had visited Bhutan in December to personally invite King Khesar to participate in his coronation function. Bhutan News Service
