Heart patient appeals for financial support (Appeal)
Kathmandu, July 28: An exiled Bhutanese suffering from acute heart disease has appealed for financial support to undergo heart operation at the Kathmandu-based Sahid Gangalal Heart Centre scheduled for August 2.
Chandra Maya Bista, 40, of Beldangi-II under Sector F/1, Hut number 32, who is now admitted at the Centre, said she has so far collected a sum amounting to one hundred fifty thousands Nepalese currencies. “I wonder how I can manage the remaining one hundred thousands to undergo my heart operation on the scheduled date”, she said appealing the BNS to bring the issue to the public notice for necessary help.
As per the information at the Centre, the total amount required for her heart surgery amounts to two hundred fifty thousand Nepalese currencies.
Bista further appealed the aid-agencies, Bhutanese staying in Kathmandu including well-wishers and Bhutanese overseas to extend possible financial support.
Bista is a permanent resident of Samtse district while in Bhutan.
The increasing numbers of heart patients inside exiled Bhutanese camps are denied from receiving further financial support from the aid-agencies since it is costly. Bhutan News Service
