Taxi drivers oriented on security measures (City)
Thimphu, September 30: Royal Bhutan Police organized an orientation class to taxi drivers of the capital town in Thimphu on Monday as part of improving services and tightening security situation.
Chief of the police and officials of the taxi drivers association gave them orientation on security of the passengers and tackling any undesired incidents.
The taxi drivers are told to remain in close contact with police officials all the time and contact in case of any accident occurred or seen.
The effort was to improve security situation of the town as the coronation celebration of the king comes near. The administration feared of untoward accidents during the celebration period.
The taxi drivers were also asked to inform police if they see any suspicious persons traveling in their cab. Bhutan News Service
