APFA-Bhutan starts radio program
Kathmandu, February 24: Association of Press Freedom Activists (APFA) Bhutan has begun radio program from Saturday, February 24.
The half an hour program, aired by Nepal FM 91.8 in Kathmandu will include the Nepali history in Bhutan, current news related to Bhutan and exiled Bhutanese, special reports on contemporary issues, stories of the exiled Bhutanese who faced severe punishment and torture in Bhutan, Bhutanese music and literature.
The program is aired every Saturday at 8:15 and can be heard in Kathmandu valley and nearby districts.
The program would be aired through FM radios in eastern Nepal in the next few months through which it becomes reachable inside Bhutan as well. APFA aims to make the program hear through internet.
The program aims at pressuring the Nepal government, diplomatic missions in Kathmandu and international organizations based here to put pressure on Bhutan for early solution of the crisis.
