UNHCR calls leaders for talks
Kathmandu, June 26: The head of UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Kathmandu Abraham Abraham has called 13 exiled Bhutanese leaders for talks for Tuesday.
The UNHCR letters dispatched to leaders states that the subject of the discussion would be the deteriorating security situation in the camps.
The invited leaders include Tek Nath Rizal, Dr Bhampa Rai, D. P. Kafle, Bala Ram Poudel, Thinley Penjor, D. B. Rana Sampang, Ratan Gazmere, R. B. Basnet, Mohan Tamang, Hari Adhikari Bangale, S. B. Subba, Mukti Raj Gurung and C. L. Thapa.
Though the UNHCR had asked the leaders to confirm their participation in advance, the leaders have not replied by Monday evening.
