Three exiled Bhutanese sent to custody
Charikot, March 06: The district court in Charikot has revised the earlier verdict and ordered three exiled Bhutanese to be kept in custody until another decision.
The three people were ordered to be kept in custody for proving fake details while obtaining Nepalese citizenship recently.
The order was given by single bench of judge Rameshor Nath Amatya. Laxman Siwakoti, Subash Siwakoti and Kumar Siwakoti had received Nepali citizenship from Dolakha, who team No 3 is deployed to distribute citizenship.
Bala Ram Siwakoti of Sundarawati, Dolakha, who stood as fake father, has been slapped an additional bail of Rs 25,000. He had already paid Rs 75,000 bail for his release.
According to legal provisions, foreigners obtaining certificates by providing fake details are to be punished but are not released on bail.
Earlier, the court had decided to release the three persons on bail of Rs 175,000 each.
These three exiled Bhutanese along with Tika Ram Sharma work as teacher in a local boarding school. Bhutan News Service
