Police arrests BGNLF cadres in Phuentsholing
Siliguri, January 03: The Bhutanese police and Indian security forces arrested at least 43 exiled Bhutanese including 10 women, while they were demonstrating at Phuentsholing in Bhutan on Tuesday.
According to Tara Mukarung, Chairman of Bhutan Gorkha National Liberation Front (BGNLF), they were chanting slogans against the recent statement of PM Khandu Wangchuk at National Assembly accusing exiled Bhutanese of being ‘ready-made-terrorists’ while police arrested them. Bhutanese police handed the arrested exiled Bhutanese to Indian police.
