Opposition leader conferred dar (Politics)

Thimpu, June 18: King Jigme Khesar has conferred dar to the leader of opposition party Tshering Tobgey amidst a function in Tashichodzong as per the Royal Prerogative under article 2.16(a) of the constitution.

After the function, Tobgey said he was overwhelmed by the honor and expressed commitment to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum.

Born in 1965, Tobgey has Mastered in Public Administration from Harvard University. He was from the Sombaykha constituency in Haa with 1,224 votes. Bhutan News Service
