Nepal may renounce categorization
Kathmandu, June 27: Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs K.P. Sharma Oli has said on June 25 that the Nepal government may reject the previous agreement reached wit the Bhutan regime to categorization if the exiled Bhutanese so desired.
Oli said while meeting with a delegation of Bhutanese representatives at this office. He also said, he had informed to international community that Nepal will not be able to reach an agreement the Bhutanese people cannot accept. All seven camp secretaries including senior political and human rights leaders had participated in the delegation to inform Nepal government about the latest situation of refugee stalemate and ask Nepal government to invigorate the repatriation process.
According to Goldhap camp secretary Ram Chandra Baskota, they informed Oli about current developments in camps and movement being launched in the leadership of Tek Nath Rizal. Earlier Deputy Prime Minister Amik Sherchen assured Nepalese human rights leaders that Nepal would seek India’s role in resolving the crisis. Bhutan News Service/ Desvakta Mishra
