Indian home secretary Duggal in Bhutan visit
Thimphu, March 16: India's Home Secretary V K Duggal arrived Thimphu On Thursday for a three-day visit in the backdrop of reports that the activities by insurgents grew up along the border.
Home Secretary Penden Wangchuk and officials of the Home and Foreign Ministries received the four-member delegation led by Duggal.
On Thursday afternoon, Duggal met Home Minister Jigme Y. Thinley and Friday he met Prime Minister Khandu Wangchuk. Before his return, he is also scheduled to call king.
On Tuesday, Indian authorities said they were keeping a close watch on activities of insurgents along the Bhutan-India border.
About 30 camps set up by the ULFA, NDFB and KLO in Bhutan were busted in an army attack in late 2003. India said the insurgents have re-grouped in Bhutan but lack specific information about the location of their camps. Bhutan News Service
