Gherao at the SAARC secretariat

Kathmandu, June 28: Bhutanese Refugee Representative Repatriation Committee (BRRRC) organized gheraoed programme at the secretariat of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in Kathmandu seeking attention of member countries towards refugee plight on June 28.
 
According to Refugee Affair Secretary of BRRRC, Raj Man Gurung, they handed over a memorandum to the secretariat urging SAARC members to help Bhutanese refugees go back home.
 
More then four dozens Bhutanese are also staging indefinite sit-in in front of UN House since a month. UN has not yet responded to their demands. Gurung also claimed that they have other several phases of protest programs which would be launched simultaneously. He denied making those programme public now.
