DPT leads in initial results (NA results)

Thimphu, March 24: Initial reports of the National Assembly elections have showed Druk Phuensum Tshogpa is in the winning position.

According to the information sent by our reporters, DPT has secured its positions in 16 constituencies. People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has secured victory only in two constituencies.

DPT is led by Jigme Y. Thinley and Sangey Ngedup, the royal uncle, leads the PDP. 

The election commission has said results will be announced by late today. Bhutan News Service
