BNB begins mobile banking services
Thimphu, March 28, 2009: Bhutan National Bank (BNB) has started mobile banking service from Friday targeting the increasing mobile users in the urban centers of the country.
The first day of service receive a good response from the users. According to the bank, users can get information about the accounts from SMS and for this the users need to register their authentic mobile number with the bank.
Besides, demand services, the bank said it sends SMS to their users whenever there is change in account – deposit or withdraw. For this, normal SMS charge rates of B-Mobile and Tashi cell are applicable.
The service comes free. The bank has already signed an agreement with Bhutan Telecom and Tashi Cell for this service.
