ABA-Sydney celebrates its second anniversary
The second anniversary function of the Bhutanese community in Sydney-ABA was celebrated at Masonic Hall, Blacktown, on October 2 with cultural program, attended by over 300 Bhutanese and 40 guests from various communities and organisations.
With the formal inauguration of function lighting oil lamp by MP David Bradbury, simultaneously chanting of holy verses by priests, ABA president Om Dhungel welcomed the guests and highlighted the activities and the achievements made by the community in the past two years. He thanked the Blacktown City Council and other concerned bodies and individuals for the help rendered to Bhutanese community so far.
Addressing the function MPs Ed Husic and David Bradbury appreciated the achievements made by the community within this short period. ABA on the occasion felicitated seniors with Khadas and gifts by MP Bradbury.
Youths and children performed various cultural dances and comedies that fascinated the participants and the guests.
