UML Khanal says to support democratic struggle

Chairman of CPN-UML, Jhala Nath Khanal, on Wednesday opined that exiled Bhutanese should try to fight for their repatriation and democracy through peaceful means.
He also said that Nepali people would always be ready to support such activities.
“UML has always been supporting democratic struggle in Bhutan and would remain so in the upcoming days,” Khanal told a delegation of Druk Nation Congress (DNC) at his residence this afternoon.
During the meeting, DNC President Rongthong Kunley Dorji told Khanal that they have expected possible supports from the government of Nepal to operate a joint office in Kathamndu and run some news bulletins.
In response Khanal said, “UML will always support your peaceful movement to go home,” adding, “I will discuss the matter with leaders of other parties to see what kind of supports would be offered to you.”
“I will discuss with other parties and government regarding the kind of support that we can extend to your struggle,” he added.
He also said the UML-led government has provided logistic support to leader Tek Nath Rizal. “We will discuss about similar supports to other leaders as well,” Khanal added.

  1. This prooves how diplomatically immoral our leaders are. What the hell they requested?….What an office to run bulletins do to pave the way for the dignified return home process of exiled refugees who have been the genuine suffer of homelessness since time immemorial. It is well known to the majority that Neaplese leaders have been providing logistic support to Bhutanese leader. Hey jack ass(Leaders) If u r wise enough better take off to new land and taste hot pizza and hemburger……New land gives new taste to everything.

  2. Hi nonsense and Arun,
If you donot like these leaders that is your personal choice but do not call them bad names. What if I call you two as nonsense and jack ass becasue I know you two had contributed nothing for Bhutanese movement nor you had been to any prison like RKD who spent 13 years in house arrest in New Delhi facing a possible extradition to Bhutan because he had the guts to challenge Bhutan King JSW. He was tortured in Bhutan prison. He is a respected leader. Who are you two? RKD was just freed by Delhi High Court you think that is so easy. He wants to open an office let him do that because our issue is not dead yet. It is not only a refugee issue but is an issue for justice and democracy in Bhutan. So long as every Bhutanese who was exiled is alive the issue is not dead. For you two may be the issue is dead but not for me. I repeat donot call bad names.

  3. Yes Satya you are right……it sounds like u did a lot to give justice to we long supressed bhutanese of nepali origin who had lived along southern foothills since generations. As a outcome of which we became refugee and ultimately scattered all across the globe.Dont give up..back up those nonsense and u will get Bhutan back as ur Motherland.
