Japan hands over power tillers
Thimphu, January 31: The government of Japan has provided 141 power tillers to Bhutan amidst a function in capital on Thursday to improve the agriculture sector of the country.
With this, the total support from Japan for agricultural development has crossed over Nu 1.5 billion.
Speaking during the handing-taking ceremony, Agriculture Minister Pema Gyamtsho the new government is doing better than that of the previous governments.
Japanese envoy to Bhutan Hisashi Sakata said Japan expects to see improvement in Bhutanese agriculture to attain self sufficiency like in Japan. Bhutan News Service
