Lhotshampa tops Class X
Thimphu, January 31: Dadi Ram Darjee of Punakha Higher Secondary School has topped the class X Bhutan Certificate of Secondary Education Examination held in December 2006 .
According to the ministry of education, Darjee scored 90.80 percent.
Meanwhile, Tshering Yudon of Motithang Higher Secondary School stood second with 90.40 percent and Pranesh Nepal of Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School stood third scoring 89.80 percent.
Some 7,032 candidates from 50 schools across the country sat for the examination.
The nationwide pass percentage was 91.95%. Last year’s pass percentage was 91.83%. Bhutan News Service
