Tense situation pushes living to difficulties
Sanischare, February 26: The tensed situation at Sanischare camp has further pushed normal living in troublesome, camp people informed BNS.
According to former Camp Management Committee (CMC) member, Badri Khadka, following the frequent attempts of locals to enter camp, police has tightened the security.
“People inside camps are suffocating as they aren’t allowed to come out”, Khadka said.
He further informed BNS that the schedule for final examination of camp students, supposed to start from Monday, has been postponed till coming Thursday. “There is no possibility of commencing examination even from Thurday”, Khadka said. He also informed that the students studying at local colleges, outside the camps, have stopped going to colleges due to insecure atmosphere.
Meanwhile, UNHCR staffers including Nepal government officials hasn’t yet started their usual duty in the camp. “No officials have come to camp”, Khadka said, adding “The ration supposed to be given on Monday isn’t distributed”.
The victims of fire, from three huts burnt by locals at Sector ‘K’, hasn’t received any facilities yet. They have been staying at relative’s huts in the camp. Bhutan News Service
