NFD termed elections as 'hollow and farce'
Birtamod, March 28: National Front for Democracy (NFD) Bhutan termed the recent parliamentarian election as 'hollow and farce'.
Issuing a press statement NFD said though a historic event in the history of Bhutan, the so-called democratic election would serve the purpose of hoodwinking international community and developing the regime's own absolute strength.
Putting seven points demand, NFD urged to declare democracy Declare democracy and form an interim government with the mandate to write true democratic constitution and hold the general election within a stipulated period.
"We urge to demilitarize southern Bhutan, region of Nepali-origin citizens and resettle internally displaced people in appropriate lands," said the release issued by NFD's chairperson Balaram Poudel.
The NFD-Bhutan has also urged the international community, especially the democracy loving people of the south Asian region to support NFD-Bhutan, condemn the recently held elections, and give adequate pressure on the Bhutanese King to accede to democratic demands. Bhutan News Service
