Thimphu, September 29: In an effort to pacify the disgruntled employees, board of directors of the Bhutan Telecom Limited held discussion with the 26 employees on September 25 and urged them not to bring the story out of company.
While addressing the meeting of directors and disgruntled employees, chairperson of the telecom Dr Sonam Tenzin is learnt to have accused the employees for not understanding the intention behind the creation of the company’s core group.
During the meeting, employees expressed their disagreement over the so-called “core group” picked by the management saying the decision has discouraged them to work with energy.
The board accepted lack of transparency while selecting the members of the core group but defended they have been promoted to strengthen the competitive power of the company in open market. The board assured the disgruntled employees to see their grief on unequal allowances. Bhutan News Service
