Bhutan Denmark review cooperation (BRIEF)

Thimphu, March 29: Denmark has agreed for a grant of Nu. 1,120 million to Bhutan for the period of 2008-12.

It will be invested in social sector, health and education, environment, urban development, good governance and the development of the private sector. Denmark is also planning for support to the constitutional development.

Denmark has shown interest to support the private wood industries

Denmark will also provide some 500 ballot boxes to the Election Commission to be used during the election in 2008.

The Bhutanese-Danish consultations are held every two years. Bhutan News Service
