40 percent voted 'mock'
Thimphu, May 31: According to the Election Commission, the total number of people giving their votes during the recent mock election has increased compared to first round.
Of the total, over 400,000 eligible voters, 161,986 attended the polling stations on May 28 mock elections to make Yellow Party win.
In the first round, the turn about was 125,338.
The government plans, on the recommendation of the astrologers, to hold the general election by May next year.
However, the preparation for Upper House election, which was planned to be held by the end of this year, is less talked about. Bhutan News Service
