India's army veep completes Bhutan tour
Thimphu, May05: Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) of the Indian Army Lieutenant General Deepak Kapoor completed his three-day Bhutan tour on Friday.
The visit by high ranking Indian security officials have increased in recent times despite India washed its hands in military matters of Bhutan formally in the Bhutan-India treaty.
During his visit, Kapoor held meetings with King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wanchuk and Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the Royal Bhutan Army Batoo Tshering.
Their meetings focused on the bilateral security exchanges and Indian support to improve the security condition in the eastern districts, where ULFA militants are believed to have re-camped. Bhutan News Service
