UN high comminissor to visit camp

Kathmandu, May 18: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, António Guterres, is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on Tuesday for a three-day mission, his first official visit to Nepal.

While in Nepal, Guterres is expected to meet the Prime Minister of Nepal, high level government officials, heads of UN Agencies and UNHCR’s donors.

During his visit the High Commissioner will focus attention on current efforts to alleviate the long-standing plight of the refugees and the need for comprehensive solutions.

Guterres is scheduled to visit Goldhap camp in Jhapa district on Monday. Bhutan News Service
