Exiled Bhutanese released on bail

Kakarvitta, June 20: The Siliguri district court in the Indian State of West Bengal granted bail to two exiled Bhutanese who were arrested from Mechi Bridge during the 'Long March' program on May 29, on Tuesday.

The Siliguri court ordered the police to release Chetan Khanal and Dinesh Rai on bail.

Police produced them in the court saying they violated border laws along the Indo-Nepal border.

Along with them a Nepalese journalist Dayaram Dahal and a local resident of Kakarvitta Biru Shrestha were also released on bail. Bhutan News Service
