YOB polls adjourns, BPP vice-president irked
Birtamode, January 29: A central committee meeting of the Bhutan People's Party-affiliated Youth Organization of Bhutan (YOB) has decided to adjourn the scheduled polls until February 25.
President of BPP Balaram Poudel informed BNS that the party approved the decision to hold the election until February 25.
However, vice-president of BPP Jagirman lama said there was no any specific reason to adjourn the polls. "When majority of the central committee members were willing to hold the polls it was not necessary on the part of the party president's side to approve for the adjournment", said Lama.
Poudel further informed that Rajan Giri, Devendra Gautam and Tika Ram Rai have so far filed their candidacy for the post of president of the youth wing. Bhutan News Service
