BGNLF reviews CEC

Kathmandu, February 7: Bhutan Gorkha National Liberation Front (BGNLF) has reviewed Central Executive Committee (CEC) from an emergency meeting held today morning.

The meeting of the CEC appointed Vice-president D.R. Katel as the new president of the party.

CEC also decided to appoint Aiman Rai to the position of Vice-president, Sher Bahadur Rai holds the position of general secretary and Khadga Bahadur Rai is appointed as treasurer.

A press statement issued by the newly appointed party president after the meeting said the other CEC remains the same.

The Front reviewed the CEC following the resignation of the former president Tara Bir Mukarung.

BGNLF is one among few other political parties formed inside Bhutanese refugee camps in Nepal aimed at advocating for the establishment of democracy in Bhutan. Bhutan News Service
