Six civilians arrested from Sarpang
Jaigaon, February 15: Royal Bhutan Army (RBA) arrested six Nepali-speaking youths from Sarpang dzongkhag last week.
RBA reported that those arrested were Birkha Bahadur Chettri, Kumar Gautam Chettri, Gobind Nirola, Sukman Mongar, Nandalal Basnet and Khagendra Khanal.
RBA claimed that the arrested youths were associated with Communist Party of Bhutan (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist) based in Nepal.
Kuensel quoted the arrested people as saying they had been sent by their leaders in Nepal to establish camps inside Bhutan and to spread the communist ideology in the villages to start an armed rebellion against the government.
Earlier on February 2, Bhutan Police arrested Ganeshyam Gurung from Dagana for his alleged involvement in the bomb blast at Dagapela. Bhutan News Servce
